PROJECT PORTFOLIO
Here are some of the projects that I have worked on in the last few years. Although I planned and coordinated all of these projects, creating them and bringing them to life were always a team effort. Whether it was contributing to the initial concept or idea, or executing and delivering on the project's promise, multiple people and organizations were responsible for the impact and the results in this portfolio. Feel free to contact me for additional information!
DIA DE LOS NIÑOS
As a response to the American Immigration Crisis of 2014, we decided to launch this project to restore a sense of childhood to children who have endured trauma and hardship in their pursuit of happiness. This has been by far my favorite project the I have done so far and it is the one that means the most to me.
BACKPACKING THROUGH LATIN AMERICA CULTURAL EXPO
For ASU's Hispanic Heritage Month of 2016, our mission was to create a premiere holistic experience to celebrate the heritage and traditions of the Hispanic community. As a closing to this month of celebration, we wanted to create a platform by which we advocate for and empower students to learn about the history, culture, and traditions of all Latin American nations as well as promote that we are "More Than a Label".
HOMELESSNESS AND HUNGER AWARENESS MONTH
Some times we are quick to judge, even when they don't know the whole story. This project was  awareness and to  shine a light on the reasons why homelessness and food insecurity exist. Knowing the majority of homeless people are simply victims of circumstance can change the way we think about this problem and even encourage us to take action to be part of the solution.
PAINT WARS
Entertainment has always been a part of human culture for we are constantly looking for new experiences and adventures. As a part of the Entrepreneurship and Value Creation course at the W.P Carey School of Business, we created this recreational entertainment business over the course of 16 weeks. Our goal was to create an entirely new experience for people who like to try new things and are not afraid to get a little messy!
LEGACY VIDEO
The Hispanic Business Students Association has made an impact on students at Arizona State University for over 40 years. This project was intended to serve as a tribute to the many people that made this organization what it is today. We wanted to use this story to tell our past and current members that they are part of a great family legacy.
EMPOWERMENT COMEDY WITH ERNIE G.
Although Hispanics represent one of the largest student groups at Arizona State University, for a lot of them, graduating from college can present many challenges. The large number of Hispanic first generation students without a structured framework to follow coupled with the stigma that being a minority can have in this country, has resulted in low retention and graduation rates. This project was created to encourage these students to be proud of their roots and to be part of a new "Latino Statistic".
